The TCM-122 Thruster Control Module is an aftermarket control module configured specifically for use with Volvo Penta  QL BP-series bow thrusters and SP-series stern thrusters.  This product is designed and manufactured by doppelBox.  doppelBox is not affiliated with Volvo Penta.  The TCM-122 is a replacement for V-P QL part number  41100658.  Compatible bow and stern thrusters  include:

• BP300, BP450, BP600, BP800, BP900, BP1200, BP1300
• SP600, SP900, SP1300

The TCM-122 is equipped with ten LEDs to aid in installation and troubleshooting:

1. Battery:  Illuminated when battery voltage detected (green)
2. Module On:  indicates module internal voltage regulation operating properly (green)
3. Low Voltage:  battery voltage fallen below safe operating voltage (red)
4. Over Temp:  Illuminated when thruster motor temperature is too high (red)
5. Port Switch Cmd:  Indicates detection of PORT command from control switch (green)
6. Stbd Switch Cmd:  Indicated detection of STARBOARD command from control switch (green)
7. Port Lockout:  Thruster temporarily inoperable in PORT direction (yellow)
8. Stbd Lockout:  Thruster temporarily inoperable in STARBOARD direction (yellow)
9. Port Out:  Module outputting PORT signal to thruster (green)
10. Stbd Out:  Module outputting STARBOARD signal to thruster (green)

TCM-122 features a 10-position removable screw terminal header.  It can be removed from the module for easier installation, removal, and servicing.  The wiring color codes shown below are for Volvo Penta QL BP-series bow thrusters and SP-series stern thrusters:

1. Power 12/24 VDC (pink)
2. Port Out to Relay (green)
3. Stbd Out to Relay (blue)
4. GND (yellow)
5. Switch Common (brown)
6. Port Switch Cmd (green)
7. Stbd Switch Cmd (white)
8. N/C  (no-connect)
9. Temp Sensor (grey)
10. N/C (no-connect)
